Today I got an email from someone who had just lost their sister to cancer. She was only 23 and she died of pancreatic cancer, one of the most aggressive forms of the disease. The person’s email talked about the 3 year long struggle her sister had, how she never seemed to stop fighting. The doctors knew that it had gotten too severe to treat with any hope, so they decided to take her home two weeks ago. She says she went in her sleep, and even though she had been preparing herself for this day for so long, she was never ready to say goodbye.
This is not an opinion piece, this is me sending out my prayers to the family, and being glad that your sister is in a better place now. She no longer has to suffer from this disease.
If you are reading this I am so sorry for your loss, a loss of which I can’t even begin to imagine. Stay strong.
